A confirmed appointment should come before non-refundable travel plans. Hospitals decide whether they can accept a case and what materials are needed. Your role is to provide a clear, concise enquiry and follow the hospital’s current instructions.

1. Identify the right starting point

Begin with the hospital’s official English-language site, international patient service or appointment page. Check the department, campus, appointment channel and any stated requirements. Do not rely on a social-media post, a copied phone number or an old travel blog.

2. Prepare a short enquiry package

Have the patient’s full name as shown on valid identification, age, current country, preferred city, a short factual description of the reason for the visit and a one-page medical summary. Keep recent reports and imaging information ready, but do not send full records or sensitive identification through an unverified channel.

3. Ask the questions that prevent surprises

4. Use official instructions as the source of truth

For example, FAHZU’s official appointment page publishes its current appointment channels and directs emergency cases to local emergency help. Its patient and visitor guide states that first-time visitors should bring a passport or other valid identification and complete registration steps. These are hospital-specific examples, not universal rules; always confirm the current process with the relevant hospital.

5. Confirm before travel

Before booking flights or accommodation, confirm the date, time, hospital campus, department, registration instructions and any materials requested by the hospital. Save the confirmation and keep the practical itinerary flexible for waiting time, tests or schedule changes.

6. Keep clinical and coordination roles separate

China MedTrip can help organise records, translation, practical communication, local transport and accompaniment. We do not decide medical suitability, interpret results or recommend treatment. For urgent symptoms or an emergency, seek local emergency care rather than waiting for an international appointment.
