International Patient Questions

Clear answers before you plan a hospital visit in China.

Practical, non-clinical answers for international patients, overseas Chinese patients and families.

Planning a hospital visit from another country raises practical questions about appointments, records, travel, costs and communication. These answers describe China MedTrip’s coordination role; they do not replace hospital instructions or clinical advice.

Can China MedTrip help arrange a hospital appointment in China?

Yes. We actively prepare, submit and follow up on practical appointment requests for planned, face-to-face hospital visits. Hospitals confirm whether they can accept a patient, the final doctor, registration route and specific consultation date and time.

Can you guarantee an appointment with a hospital or doctor?

We work actively to achieve a suitable appointment and keep you informed throughout the process. Appointment availability, patient acceptance and final arrangements remain subject to the hospital’s confirmation.

Can you suggest a department or doctor?

We can help identify practical department pathways. Where information and availability allow, we may share one or two potential doctor options using objective public profile information for patient consideration. This is not a clinical recommendation.

Do you provide medical advice or recommend treatment?

No. China MedTrip is a non-clinical coordination service. Hospitals and licensed clinicians are responsible for diagnosis, clinical interpretation, treatment recommendations and medical care.

What should I include in my first enquiry?

Your country, preferred city if known, likely travel timeframe and the practical support you need are enough. Do not send passports, payment information, full medical files or imaging through the general enquiry form.

Can you help overseas Chinese patients and families?

Yes. We welcome international patients worldwide, including overseas Chinese patients and families. We provide English-first support and can also communicate with Chinese-speaking patients and families.

Can you help a patient seeking a consultation about cell or immune-based therapies?

We can coordinate the practical appointment-request process for a planned consultation and organise records, translation and travel support. We do not assess medical suitability, recommend treatment or make claims about outcomes; these are matters for the hospital and licensed clinicians.

Which cities do you currently support?

Our current focus cities are Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou and Chengdu. We can explain the practical support available for a planned visit in each city.

Can you estimate medical costs?

We can provide a written quote for agreed non-clinical coordination services. Hospital consultation, testing, treatment and admission charges are set by the relevant medical institution and should be planned separately.

Can you help with travel and accompaniment?

Yes. Once hospital feedback is available, agreed support can include city-to-hospital planning, hotel and transfer coordination, bilingual accompaniment and post-visit document organisation.

Have a practical question about a planned visit?

Tell us your preferred city and timeframe, and we will explain the appropriate next step.
